Cuvaison has been profoundly influenced by our owners, the Schmidheiny family 4th generation vintners who purchased our winery in 1979. After acquiring Cuvaison, the Schmidheiny family immediately cemented our focus on Chardonnay and Pinot Noir by acquiring 400 acres of highly prized land in the Los Carneros region of Napa Valley ensuring we're able to provide estate grown wines for our entire portfolio. Cuvaison is on a 20-year annual replanting cycle, meaning we are constantly adopting new techniques and testing various innovations in the vineyard to achieve the highest expression of the grape varieties we work with View Less
